Louie and I are amazed by Chloe every single day. I mean honestly, sometimes, we're just so... wow.
We played the other day for most of the afternoon. I love playing with her... I mean, its a rare occasion when she has my undivided attention JUST FOR PLAY. You know, catching a ball, flying in the air, watching a DVD like "Cats & Dogs" (the current favorite). I bought her a BRATZ shirt the other day at Robinsons which said "I am beautiful" (ever the stage mother that I am). While we were playing, she saw it on the desk and said, "Daddy and Mommy bought Chloe a shirt. Very good!" (with clapping hands). I'm glad she can understand when someone gives her something now.
More funny moments, coming up...
At Church, she and Louie are walking outside and she sees a dog sniffing up garbage. Motioning with her hands, she says, "Dirty yan, dog! Later on, she tells me, "Mommy, don't go in (I'm guessing this should be NEAR) dog. Its dangerous. Dog bite you crying!" (Apparently, Louie had told her this earlier to prevent her from attempting to touch stray dogs.)
I think its really neat that Chloe actually likes her Uncle Rony now. Its just sad, he's leaving in two weeks. Sigh.
I was actually going to watch "Justice League" on the laptop so I was starting it up. My wall paper of Louie and Chloe comes out.
And Chloe asks, "Who's that pretty girl, Mommy?" Ah yes, vanity at the ripe old age of 2.
Highlight of my day was when I was coming down the stairs with my new shoes and she says, "Ganda, ganda shoes, Mommy!"
Chloe story for the week!
Chloe and Louie have this weird habit of bumping their tummies together and yelling "Boing!" One time, Chloe stopped to look at Louie's belly button and told him there was a snake in there. Or a monkey. Or some other animal. So yesterday, I pull her aside on her bed and tell her, "Hey look, I see the snake in your bellybutton!"
Her response: (Said with a weird look on her face) "Mommy, there's no snake in my bellybutton!"
Silly me! (pa-dam-pam)

Side Bar: Daisy, Chloe's yaya of the past 3 months left yesterday. I'm saddened. That girl (except for a few minor flaws) was great with Chloe. She's a education graduate who didnt' pass the local licensing exam so now she's a nanny. She had to leave us because she wanted to review and take the exam again in August. Sigh. I guess its almost impossible to have someone with a brain stay in a fairly dead-end job. Her cousin took her place... but it ain't the same. Oh well. Let's just hope this new one keeps Chloe's weight up!
Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Greetings to all Moms!
