These Boots Were Made for Walking...

Chloe is growing up and peer pressure is fast approaching.

Last Tuesday, I took out her bright red boots that I bought last Christmas which still happen to fit her. She's a happy girl, wouldn't take them off, wore them to Frisco practically all day. She was one happy camper.

Then Tita Jojo buys Kimmy a cute pair of pink Barbie boots yesterday which Kimmy wears around Frisco. Expensive shoes but very pretty.

Then today, Chloe sees the pink boots and does a whole drama with our aunts! Tita Tere and Tita Rochie were telling us how Chloe looked sad that she didn't have "boots like Kimmy" and in fact even tried on Kimmy's boots when Kimmy fell asleep! Yikes!

Anyway, they said she look really really disappointed that she didn't have pink boots. In fact while she was eating lunch, Tita Rochie told her not to worry because Tita Tere will go to Shoemart to buy her boots. So Chloe stands up and makes like, she's going to Shoemart with Tita Tere to buy the darn boots!!! My daughter talaga!

The Titas are narrating this sad story to us over lunch... how they felt sorry for her and they were going to buy her boots... and of course, Louie and I were like, hell, those are P700+ boots... we're not gonna buy em!

A few hours later, Chloe's got her boots. She opens the box. Says "WOW" and proudly proclaims, "These is MY boots!" Later on, she's walking around, holding Kimmy's hand, completely enamoured by those pink boots.

And with one quick trip to SM, there is now balance in the force.
